For most people, 「The hunger games」 is a story of love. For me, it tells not only love, but also bravery, independent and humanity. From Katniss, I take lessons in bravery and independent. When I see the relationship between the Capitol and the twelve districts, I realize the humanity.

Bravery and independence cause a great impact on people’s life. Katniss is the girl who owns both of them. She loved her sister very much and always tried to protect her. At the lottery day, when she shouted 「 I volunteer」 to instead her sister became a tribute, I was shocked and really admired her courage. If I were her, I wouldn't have such bravery to become a tribute. She was just a sixteen–year–old girl, but she should take care of her family, even she was a criminal. What she wanted just to prevent her family from hunger. I'm at the same age with her, but I have a more wealthy life. The story reminds me that I should learn more and study harder. In addition, independent is also important. A few years ago, my family took a trip to America. I joined in a summer camp. On those days, I should prepare all the things by myself. It was my first experience and I even can’t understand what other American members were talking about. That made me feel really depressed, but after the summer camp, I learned how to take care of myself and became more mature and brave. From Katniss, I realize that I can decide my life by myself. I can’t be a chess of somebody.

In the story, I even saw the negative side of humanity. The Capitol held 「The hunger game」 just for entertainment. They felt excited about it, but the game is a fear for the twelve districts. They should watch their children killing each other. It’s really brutal. The story gave us a chance to think about the way how the government should dominate the people. Moreover, I realize not only the humanity, but also how the disparity between rich and poor damage people's life. In the Capitol, they threw up what they ate just for tasting more food. In the poor districts, people died because of hunger. To survive, the poor should steal or fight each other. The disparity between the poor districts and the Capitol just like the real world we live now. People in the third world rob, even have their children work to raise more food and money. It makes the crime rate higher and higher around the world, and also causes big damages to children's life. We should balance the wealth to make the world more peaceful. As a senior high student, it’s a serious and huge issue that I can’t handle it. One day, if I have power, I will try my best to make the peace world comes true.

To Katniss, love gives her courage to sacrifice herself. 「Love conquers all.」 The love between family is really strong. The love from mothers is the greatest one. There’s the news said, a baby got a serious hurt. Her mother wanted to call a ambulance, but she had no money to pay the phone bill. Then, she decided to bring her baby to the hospital by her own. At the end, she ran two kilometers to get to the nearest hospital. That’s what my parents did to me. Parents always try to give their children the best. It shows how strong love is. I can’t be a parent now, but I can do something to help the world. There’s lots of poor countries need our help, which are short of food and medical resources. We can try our best to help them, such as donate money or be a volunteer in organizations like Red Cross. That is just a small influence to us, but it gives the poor countries a big hope. Love can conquer not only distance but also death. The story shows both the dark side and bright side of humanity, but at the end, it tells that love and brave can conquer all.
