In the 「Bridge to Terabithia」, the friendship gave both of Jess and Leslie courage to face the numerous difficulties in real life such as stress, bully at school, and death. My friends have changed my life such as Leslie had done to Jess. I were Jess before until meeting Christine, Cindy and Vanessa, also we formed the group 「CHOCO」. I used to be introvert and lack confidence. I didn't know how to express my feelings and communicate with other classmates. CHOCO were like sunshine that brightened up my life. They had inspired my positive personality that I had never knew, and also boosted my confidence. We supported each other all the time and knew faith is the key when we are in difficulties.
Communication between family members is a critical issue. If Jess had talked to his father and tried to make his father understand his talent and his dream, things would be changed into a good relationship between father and son. The only way to know family members more is to communicate more often. As the eldest child in my family, I am expected to be excellent. However, even I have been trying hard I still can't reach my parents’ expectation. Communicating with my parents is a difficult job for me and usually makes me feel depressed. I don’t want to be second Jess, with CHOCO support I would like to chat with my mom day by day.
After reading the story, I start to face death. It’s an unfamiliar experience and I am fearful of it. The process Jess got through of Leslie’s death is the most touching part. I couldn’t help but drop my tears down. My uncle’s death was a huge hit and made me reconsider that how fragile and valuable life is. I could recall all my memory about him, but it couldn’t make me feel better. I realized I could change nothing but needed some time to accept the truth and keep the past away in our memory. 「Bridge to Terabithia」 is somehow a story about me. Luckily, I have CHOCO to get along with and is nothing to worried with their company.
